The cardboard stand is transformed into an eco-setting of a bar

The reuse of cardboard furniture for two events in Munich and Frankfurt

Cyrus One

Data Center

At the beginning of the year, we were contacted by CyrusOne, a company specializing in the world of Data Centers, to set up a cardboard stand for the Datacloud Global Congress, an important event hosted within the Grimaldi Forum in the Principality of Monaco. The setting had to be customized in order to give ample space to company graphics and have shapes that paid homage to bees (the object of attention of their sustainability campaign). At the same time, the solutions had to be flame-retardant, modular and reusable. Hence the idea of developing a proposal based mainly on hexagonal display modules that would allow customers to create free and flexible compositions, in the style of a beehive. To these elements were then added a series of cardboard furnishings chosen from our catalog: to receive customers, small lounges with Tisa chairs and tables were created; a counter from the Vago line (with a printable front) was used as a reception; to then give a green touch to the whole, seedlings were placed in the Tessa planter and inside the Porola B room display. The set-up was carried out in a very short time by our team of assemblers and the same, at the end of the event, went to recover the goods to disassemble them and store them at our warehouse.

As we said at the beginning of this “Case History“, the project was in fact born with the intention of having reuse at its base. And, 6 months later, CyrusOne contacted Natur Design to ask that the furniture be shipped to Frankfurt am Main, where it would be used to create a lounge bar for the German Conference on Data Centers. In this case, it was the customer himself who received the goods and assembled and arranged the furnishings: a demonstration of the fact that cardboard furniture is always designed to last over time and to be easily assembled, thanks to intuitive interlocking solutions. The photos below were taken at the lounge bar in Frankfurt, except for the last 3 where you can see the stand set-up in Munich… what about a smart use of an effective and flexible eco set-up !
