Children's shop for eco-friendly items
Ecobaby is a very important reality in the sector of eco-sustainable items for children. Since 2006 it has been involved in the promotion and sale of washable diapers, plastic-free toys, solid detergents and zero-waste household products.
In short, an innovative and cutting-edge company in the search for natural and sustainable solutions for the world of children that unfortunately for decades has been literally invaded by polluting, if not toxic, products and toys.
It was therefore a pleasure for us at Natru Design to be contacted to create a new children’s store designed to make their lives and that of their parents a little greener. We got to know the team of people behind Ecobaby Store and it was easy to collaborate with them for the design of the store, also because they are people with whom we share values and ideas about a future that is more respectful of the environment.
The new Ecobaby® Store has been designed to allow customers to touch the quality of washable diapers, slings and ergonomic supports: in fact, many know these products because they may have seen them on the company’s e-commerce site, but they wanted to create a place where they could physically see the items, also taking advantage of the valuable advice of the staff. Faced with such a need, it was clear that the result had to be an eco-sustainable store, with cardboard environments and furnishings designed to enhance these products with low environmental impact. We therefore designed a retail set-up entirely made of cardboard and customized with the company logo and colors, in order to adhere perfectly to Ecobaby’s branding. Relaxation areas have also been created where children and parents can take a break: the shop is in fact part of the ” Baby Pit Stoppers“, a network of activities that include spaces dedicated to families, such as breastfeeding chairs, play areas and changing tables. All equipped with kettle and microwave (to prepare milk or baby food for the children, or herbal tea for the parents!).
But let’s go into detail about the ecological furnishings used to set up this store: as you can see in the photos above there are standard furniture taken from our catalog, such as the Berta and Cerena cardboard displays, the Erpice checkout counter and the Saline bookcases. On the walls there are also cardboard paneling, graphically customized with colors and shapes in theme with corporate communication and equipped with shelves, Garnet cubic displays, or hooks to present washable diapers and other small items from the store. Then there are custom-made retail furnishings, designed specifically for this store, such as all the window dressing solutions, the panels to delimit the “pit-stop” area and the ecobaby logos, also in cardboard and enriched with lichen grafts. Last but not least, cardboard furnishings and toys for children also find space in the set-up, such as the rocking horse, the stools with table and the tree-shaped coat rack.
It’s always fun to furnish a shop, but this set-up was really special for us, because seeing parents and children animate the eco-sustainable environments we created with cardboard was a great satisfaction.
