Design event exhibition
Natur Design has created an eco-sustainable cardboard set-up for the world of jewellery that may seem like an unusual combination but in Munich we thought outside the box and they contacted us to create a tailor-made stand for the flagship exhibition of Munich Jewellery Week. A challenge within the challenge, first of all because the client asked us to design ad hoc solutions to furnish the open-space in which the event was held. Secondly, because we were asked for a solution that was modular and that the various exhibitors could compose and customize to their liking. Third, but not least, the tight deadlines, given that there was less than a month from the request to the set-up. But we at Mobili in Carton love challenges and, after having collected all the customer’s needs, we have designed a series of innovative and functional modules, also following the request to propose a design that was characterized by minimal and curvilinear lines.
This is why low and high tables have been conceived, but also desks and benches, all characterized by soft and sinuous shapes. On this occasion we have also coupled our classic triple-wave cardboard with sheets of cArtù®, a material that allows us to create new solutions that make the appearance of the furniture even cooler. Each exhibitor was thus able to create their own space with maximum freedom and wide margins of customization: the jewels were in fact displayed both resting on the tops of tables and desks, and hanging on the walls of the “Toula” modules. And the creativity of the artists did the rest by creating painted stands, integrated with lighting, or finished with prints and stickers. The central reception desk was also very impactful, consisting of curvilinear modules that created a closed circle (with a liftable door for operator access). Thanks to the harmony of intent with the customer, we were able to create a creative, ecological and functional set-up. Something different that the public of the exhibition, very attentive to innovation, has certainly been able to appreciate.
