Can a set-up contribute to making a fair more ecological? Teco, a leading Italian company in refrigeration technology, could tell us about it, which has chosen a natural cardboard set-up to enhance its communication and increase the sustainable value of its corporate image.
On the occasion of the Chillventa fair in Nuremberg, the company commissioned us to create an ecological stand to promote its product on the world market. International fairs are always great opportunities to present yourself to the world and lay bare your essence; To do it in the best possible way and to differentiate yourself from the competition, you need the right idea and a well-organized space to present yourself.
Conceive, design, create
Conceiving, designing and creating are the essential phases that lead to the material creation of a stand for an ecological fair. For this project, the starting point was the feeling of welcome and warmth that a customer expects to find when visiting the fair. Isn’t a stand an ideal extension of a part of the same company structure? And so we conceived it. The bare area layout consists of a back wall formed by decorative panels interspersed with connecting columns; We then created a closed cage that hides a service compartment positioned at a certain distance from the back wall so as to leave enough space to accommodate a discreetly hidden living room to welcome customers. This space has been furnished with cardboard armchairs from the Crava series and Ortles tables. The front of the cage has been decorated with an identifying print of the company and topped with a panel decorated with natural lichens to fuel the sense of sustainability of the exhibition environment. On the side, custom-made displays have been positioned consisting of a vertical panel decorated with non-toxic digital prints and a cube-shaped base that serves as a seat or display surface. The front of the stand was occupied by a reception desk from the Losa E series with an eco-friendly laminate top surrounded by a series of stools from the Ortles S Plus line with upholstered seat. Finally, the exhibition area is closed on the two front sides by relaxation corners bordered by low panels printed with the company’s logo and colors and furnished with sofas and coffee tables from the Golliaz line.
A decorative and functional cardboard stand
A cardboard stand is undoubtedly a decorative element but also functional. The versatility of the material allows us to create the most disparate shapes that satisfy the creativity and imagination of the customer; it does not require major processing but only design and cutting of the panel which is carried out with modern precision technologies and pre-assembled manually. Natural cardboard is an ecological material and its lightweight properties allow an easy movement of the structure and an equally easy assembly which, in the case of smaller stands, can be done independently without long and expensive operations. Precisely because of these characteristics, a cardboard set-up is also super functional because it adapts like a glove to the image of the company, conveying its messages in a natural and effective way.
